Your 5 days in Morocco begin in Tangier, where the Mediterranean and Atlantic influences of northern Morocco meet. From here, we leave the city behind and follow the Rif Mountains toward Chefchaouen. The first afternoon is not about rushing from one monument to another. You have time to walk, stop for tea, browse small artisan shops and experience the quieter rhythm of the blue medina before spending the night in a traditional riad.
The next morning brings a completely different atmosphere. Leaving Chefchaouen, we travel through Rif villages toward Volubilis Morocco, where Roman streets, mosaics and archaeological remains sit among open countryside. From Roman history, the road continues into the imperial heritage of Meknes before reaching Fes.
Fes deserves more than a short stop, so the third day belongs almost entirely to the Medina of Fes. With a local guide, you move through streets that are difficult to understand from a map alone. Workshops open onto narrow alleys, the smell of leather drifts from the tannery district, food stalls fill the markets and historic madrasas reveal a quieter side of the city. Our guided tour of Fes gives you context as you walk instead of simply pointing at monuments.
Day four changes direction toward Morocco's Atlantic cities. Travel from Fes to Rabat, where the Hassan Tower, Mohammed V Mausoleum area and Kasbah of the Oudayas introduce the capital's historic side. Later, continue from Rabat to Casablanca and spend the evening in Morocco's largest city.
The final morning follows the Atlantic north. Assilah brings whitewashed walls, sea air and a small medina decorated by contemporary murals before the journey returns to Tangier. By the end of these five days, you have moved through mountain towns, Roman history, imperial medinas, the capital and Atlantic coastal cities without spending every day inside the vehicle.

What makes this tour special
Five days gives this route enough space to feel like a journey rather than a chain of transfers. You spend the first night in Chefchaouen, two nights in Fes and an entire day walking through its medina with a local guide.
The experiences also change every day. In Chefchaouen, you move through quiet blue lanes surrounded by the Rif Mountains. At Volubilis, you walk through Roman archaeological remains in open countryside. In Fes, the streets become dense and full of workshops, markets and traditional crafts. Rabat brings monumental spaces and Atlantic air, while Assilah finishes the route beside the ocean.
With Tours Marrakech Desert, we want you to have time to actually experience these places. That means walking through Fes with someone who understands its streets, stopping in Chefchaouen without constantly checking the clock and giving you enough time in Assilah to reach the ramparts instead of seeing the town through a vehicle window.
For travelers especially interested in Fes, our Fes tour guide page gives more details about the city experience. You can also browse all our Morocco tours.
